Formatting the Resumes
The templates include filler text which provides guidance and maintains their format. You will replace the filler text with your personal details and work history.
1. Font-face
The templates are formatted using the most popular, clean and easy to read fonts as follows:
- Georgia, Century & Century Gothic, Book Antiqua: Mostly used for executive resumes.
- Arial for the body and Arial-Narrow for headlines or Calibri: Mostly appear in technical resumes (such as IT professionals), nurses and teachers.
- Verdana, Tahoma, Candara, Calibri, Garamond and Corbel: Types of fonts that can be seen in some creative resume templates.
2. Font size
You may want to modify the font size according to your needs. Just bear in mind that the font size and line height should be friendly and readable, yet not intrusive.
3. Format
Click “Keep Text Only” to control the format when you paste text –
When you copy/paste text into the resume template, you should choose to preserve the template formatting by following the steps below:
- Copy the text from the original source using CTRL-C or Right-Click + Copy
- Right-Click with your mouse where you want to paste the text. A small window with Past Options appears.
- This small window contains several options to select.
- Select A (Left-Click)–which is the Keep Text Only option.
